So relieved to hear that Will's wait was not too long Smiley. We are praying so hard for a good outcome and that Will recovers quickly - our thoughts are with Will, Lorraine and the rest of the Tweedy family, and also with the donor and donor's very brave family. We send masses of love and best wishes.

Hi all
just a quick update. I've popped home for the weekend to sort a few things out and swapped with kevin.
All is going well, all drains now out and will has taken a few steps!! We've had a few problems last weekend will had 2 very nasty and frightening fits, caused by his tac level being to high. He was very confused and we think he'd been having mini fits all for a few days. Believe it is not something i want to witness again!!

We are having big problems with Tac levels and after a try back at oral we are now back to IV as his levels have been so low, this could cause the fits again but we have no choice. And because his tac has been low he now has moderate rejection so being treated with another 3 days of methal pred.

Did anyone also now High levels of steroids can cause catarats!! and guess what Will has them in both eyes, but this will be a long term problem and not immediately need treating. But I thought I'd share that infor with you as no one has ever told us that before.

So thats our news, Will is in good spirit but lots of little things niggling.
Will try and keep you all up to date.

Thank you for all your wishes and thoughts not only for us but for the amazing, kind donor and their family.

Thanks James and family for get well card and message and its been great seeing Kennedy and to see her improving and putting a smile on Wills face.

It is so good to hear this update Lorraine! I've been thinking about you all and wondering how things were going. I really hope that the problems can be brought under control swiftly and that Will suffers no more fits.

Wishing you a very HAPPY EASTER!  Grin xxxxx
