Lorraine,
What to say? Nige is keeping me a little informed, I'm so sorry that things are not looking good. He said that Will was back on the ward now with itu support. I guess ward 8 has become more of a home than you'd have wanted over the last year, but nonetheless, a friendly personal environment which you can rely on for support. I am still praying for that miracle needed. You, Kevin and family are constantly in my thoughts and prayers too. I'm glad they're with you now. You are the best, we love you.

It's with tears rolling down my face that I type...we lost one of our fighters today...Will was only 14yrs old,he was one of THE most courageous young men I've had the privilege to meet....

Will's Mum Lorraine emailed me back in 2004 probably around about this time of year...I know this because 7 yrs ago on the Sunday night we got "the call" Aaron received his gifts of life(liver & small bowel) in the wee small hours of that Bank Holiday Monday morning....Lorraine had read Aaron's story online and emailed me...she told me of her 11yr old son Will and how he'd been on TPN all his life...I was astounded....I'd never knew kids had survived on long term TPN,what a lad this kid must be I thought...little did I know just what an amazing kid...Will was now needing a liver & small bowel transplant....we finally met on ward 8 BCH later that year and Will was very jaundiced his time running out...Will recieved his gifts of life liver & small bowel transplants the August of that year. Last year was not a good year for Will...it seemed to be one darn thing after another but this young man was a true fighter and he pulled through time after time....it's been one heck of past few months seeing Will recieve a 4 organ transplant...he was doing well, moving forward slowly when last week things took a tragic turn for the worse....today we lost one of our fighters!

Will passed away in the company of his family and his extended family(families & staff on the ward) this morning...rest in peace wee man....

Aaron said "he was a good mate I'll miss him"...I will too...many of us will....
