For those of you from BCH, you may have known Codie McCartney. Today would have been her 4th birthday, so I've been remembering her today and have made a post in her memory on my blog (http://bookworm-molly.blogspot.com/). Her family have also been in my thoughts today and I sent Debbie a text earlier to let her know we've been thinking of them.

Yes it was an awful time then  Sad The worst ever! I remember Codie's cute wee sayings like her puk for her cup and pikker for kipper, she loved her books  Grin K tells every1 about that.

When maddy was in for reversal last month, two of her cousins visited from northampton. they're teenage girls. i'd chatted to them about codie a couple of years ago when maddy was in a bed next to codie and the two girlies would play together. i showed the two cousins the pictures of codie on ward 8's photo board, they remembered her from when i would talk about her before, but had never seen her. i found out later that the two cousins cried all the way back home in the car, they just thought codie was so beautiful... and she was xxxx we loved her xxx  but we know we'll see her again xxx

Thanks for sharing that Rachel. I find it difficult when remembering Codie, Will and Alicia as it's so sad. But at the same time I feel happy and privileged to have known them, even though it was only for a short time.

P.S. Today would have been Alicia O'Brien's 11th birthday. I've been remembering her and thinking of her family today.
