Calvin Leary was and is much loved. He had a cheeky smile, fantastic sense of humour and was always willing to lend a hand. He was passionate about animals and wildlife.
Tragically Calvin lost his life after a road traffic accident in 2008
This is the website dedicated to the memory and the living legacy Calvin has given not just to the 5 people who's lives he saved and transformed but their friends and family who have them here with them today..thanks to Calvin and his greatest gift of all, the Gift of Life

Hi Everyone
I am Calvin's very proud mum and just wanted to let you know that all the recipients of Cal's organs-heart, kidneys, liver and pancreas are all doing well. One of the kidney recipients keeps in contact and he is now playing football, went on a 10 mile bike ride, started a new job and is hoping to start a family with his wife. I am so glad they are all doing well-including 2 children-and I know Calvin would think we have done the right thing. Thanks for reading.

Hello Jacqui,
That's fantastic to hear that the recipients of Cal's organs are doing so well. That's nice to hear that you're in touch with one of the recipients, do you find that helps you? I'm in touch with my donor's sister and she tells me that it really helps her parents with their loss to know that I'm doing so well.
Hugs,

Hi Moll
Thank you for the welcome
. We have had a letter from 2 recipients but the kidney recipient who I mentioned also sent a Christmas card and one on Cal's Birthday. I do take some comfort as he seems like a really nice person. He has read all about Calvin in the local paper web site and on Cal's site. He seems like a really nice person. Losing Cal has meant that someone like him can have a new life and that is a good thing.
I really admire you for contacting your donor family and keeping in touch with them. You too sound like a caring person. Hope you are doing well. () hugs

Hi Jacqui
Calvin will always be a hero he gave others the gift of life you are a amazing family.
I really hope people reading about Calvin will become organ donors as well.
I lost my daughter 23years ago and feel sad that because she died suddenly of septicaemia we were unable to donate her
organs. Now my son Adam is to have small bowel transplant assessment early next year .
I wish you and your family the best christmas and new year possible.
Take care Lesley
